Ninth TAMC Congress in Dubrovnik Comes to a Close: More Than 900 Doctors, the World Elite of Aesthetic Medicine, and Three Days of Cutting-Edge Science, Innovation and Energy

29. September 2026.

Dubrovnik once again became a meeting place for the world elite of aesthetic medicine over the past three days. The ninth TAMC - The Aesthetic Medicine Congress, held at the Valamar Lacroma Hotel, has come to a close, bringing together more than 900 accredited doctors from around the world and over 70 renowned speakers. One of the leading international congresses dedicated to aesthetic medicine and surgery, organized by Poliklinika Milojević, once again combined the latest scientific achievements, an outstanding program, hands-on education and innovation with a fantastic atmosphere and themed evening events for which TAMC has already become well known.

At the ninth TAMC, the very best of the global aesthetic medicine and surgery community gathered once again — experts who return year after year and whose continued participation is the strongest testament to the congress’s international reputation. Among the regular members of the TAMC Faculty were, alongside President and Founder Nikola Milojević, Tapan Patel, Tatjana Pavičić, Jani Van Loghem, Sonja Sattler, Steven Liew, Jonathan Kadouch, Reha Yavuzer, Siniša Glumičić and many others. This year, TAMC also welcomed a strong international group of new experts — Lee Walker, Dario Bertossi, Bernadett Buda and Matteo Tretti Clementoni, one of the world’s leading experts in laser medicine, who received the TAMC Lifetime Achievement Award. The arrival of new prominent names, together with experts who return to TAMC year after year, once again demonstrated how important this congress has become as a meeting point for the global aesthetic medicine community. In addition to doctors from Croatia and the wider region, physicians travelled to Dubrovnik from Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Turkey, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, South Korea, Australia, Norway, Egypt and numerous other countries.

Over the course of three days, the program took place in two conference halls, featuring lectures and discussions on the most current topics in aesthetic medicine and surgery — from anatomy, injection techniques and biostimulators to regenerative medicine, laser technologies, complications and patient safety, as well as new approaches to facial and body contouring. A new approach to practical education held a particularly important place in this year’s program. Instead of traditional live demonstrations, leading physicians presented their injection techniques through precisely recorded and carefully prepared videos. This format enabled participants to follow every step of the procedure in detail, analyze the techniques of leading experts from around the world and more easily transfer this knowledge into everyday clinical practice. Once again, TAMC demonstrated that education at major international congresses can take a different form — more precise, more detailed and tailored to the needs of physicians.

According to the President and Founder of TAMC, Dr. Nikola Milojević, the ninth TAMC was the most successful edition of the congress to date. "What we particularly felt this year was what makes TAMC different — friendship, openness and a sense of community among doctors. I am especially pleased to hear how satisfied the participants are with the congress, but also how many positive comments they have about Croatia and Dubrovnik." After nine editions, Milojević emphasizes that TAMC has become much more than a professional gathering, with attention already turning toward the jubilee tenth edition, which will take place in Rovinj next year. "I am looking forward to next year, when we will celebrate the first ten years of this congress in Rovinj."

While the scientific and educational program demonstrated how far aesthetic medicine has come today, the social program of the ninth TAMC showed why this congress has an energy that sets it apart from traditional professional gatherings. This year’s edition was inspired by outer space and the symbolism of the nine planets of the TAMC Solar System. Whether its ninth planet is Pluto or the TAMC congress itself was left open to individual interpretation, but the space theme ran throughout the entire event and came particularly alive during the evening program.

The Cosmic Disco cocktail party transformed the congress evening into a true space spectacle. Along with music, socializing and the participants’ great energy, the atmosphere was further enhanced by a spectacular laser show, similar to those audiences know from the Zagreb Festival of Lights. The lighting effects fit perfectly with this year’s TAMC theme, creating the setting for an evening in which doctors from different parts of the world could socialize away from the conference halls. The second major evening was the Kings and Queens gala dinner, held under the stars at Banje Beach, by candlelight and with a view of Dubrovnik’s city walls. In a city that global audiences also came to know as King’s Landing in the internationally popular series Game of Thrones, the theme found the perfect setting, and the evening brought congress participants together in one of Dubrovnik’s most spectacular surroundings.

The ninth TAMC once again demonstrated that a top-level international congress can be much more than a series of lectures. Science and education remain at its core, but it is precisely the combination of leading experts, new technologies, practical knowledge, international networking and a carefully designed social program that creates an experience participants take with them long after the final lecture.

TAMC was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Dubrovnik, the Zagreb Tourist Board, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, as well as the international professional organizations DASIL (Dermatology, Aesthetics, and Surgery International League), BCAM (British College of Aesthetic Medicine) and CSAM (Croatian Society for Aesthetic Medicine).

The Committee for Continuing Medical Education categorized TAMC as an International Congress, with active participants receiving 20 credits and passive participants receiving 12 credits.
